Pig Destroyer: Phantom limb

Fuck. Rape. Mayhem. Chaos. Mindnumbing. Pillage. Gore. Death. Fuck again. The Devil anal raping your mother.Those are some of the thoughts that will float around in your head while listening to Pig Destroyer’s new kickass album, “Phantom Limb”.
It’s been a while since a grind/death album made me so happy. And this makes me so happy. It really does. This is fucking brutal, awesome, fuck you, I’m going to rip your guts out, burn it, eat it and make love to your lifeless, scarred corpse. There’s just no way you’re not loving this shit right here.
“Terrifyer”, the band’s previous effort, was already brilliant in my view. Fuck you if you thought they were going soft then. Are you dense? Are you mentally challenged? Some people annoy me, seriously. Pig Destroyer is the best band ever. So, shut up. I know the truth. The only truth.
If you’ve never heard of them, this is blasting anal beads from the core death grind crusty metal. It’s very dirty, desperate and violent. It’s not for little girls. Not unless you’re planning on raping them while listening to Pig Destroyer. Best band name ever, by the way. Nothing could be more appropriate. Have I praised these guys enough yet?
There are no flaws here. Sure, I could write some blabberfuck/Kerrang/Revolver/whatever words that no one would have a clue what they mean. I could go on and on about the band’s versatility, musicianship and surprising melodic sense for such a brutal act. But what’s the point, really? The point is, this is another album that’s going on my Top 10 at the end of the year, and unless Satan himself decides to come up from hell and release fucking “Reign in Blood” II, this baby will be at the very top of the list.
So fuck you, eat shit and buy this album.
The cover: It’s not even fair. Besides releasing the most kickass songs of 2007, Pig Destroyer always employ the magnificent John Baizley to do their art shit. This is as beautiful and mesmerizing art as all of what he does. Major, major props.
